My Life Through My Eyes
A Journey of Service, Leadership, and Mentorship: From the Frontlines of the Battlefield to Global Peacekeeping, Strategic Command, and Empowering Future Generations as a Motivational Speaker, SSB Personality Coach, and Mentor for Aspiring Leaders in the Armed Forces and Beyond.
Life In The Indian Army
I am a third-generation Army officer from Baas village in Haryana’s Hisar district. After completing my schooling at Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore, I graduated from the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, in June 1985 and was commissioned into 1 Guards, one of the Army’s oldest infantry battalions.
Throughout my 35-year military career, I served extensively in Jammu and Kashmir, leading counter-terrorism operations that earned me the Sena Medal for gallantry. Additionally, I facilitated the rehabilitation of a former militant into a soldier, a deeply fulfilling experience.
Yash Mor Academy, founded and led by me, is dedicated to preparing individuals for success in the Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews and fostering essential soft skills for personal and professional growth.
Overseeing Ceasefires and Facilitating Demobilization during ONUMOZ
In 1993-94, I had the honor of serving as a United Nations peacekeeper in Mozambique under the United Nations Operation in Mozambique (ONUMOZ). This mission was pivotal in overseeing the implementation of the General Peace Agreement, aiming to bring an end to the protracted civil war that had plagued the nation since 1977. My role involved supervising ceasefires, facilitating the demobilization of combatants, and supporting the organization of the country’s first multiparty elections. This experience deepened my understanding of international peacekeeping and the complexities of post-conflict reconstruction.
